Built by John Brown, Clydebank. Laid Down 9 September 1925.

Launched 31 May 1927. Completed 10 July 1928.

Differed from RN Kents only in the Mk VII torpedoes.

Wrecked by torpedoes and gunfire Savo Island, sunk by USS Ellet 9 August 1942. The US named a Baltimore class cruiser after her, the first time the U.S. Navy had ever done such a thing and reflects well on both the Australians and the Americans.
